Mame Testers FYI - hcastle, hcastlee, hcastlek (Mame.153)

I would really like to join MameTesters, but the link to join is always broken.
Anyways, I wanted to report something I discovered on "hcastle" and its variants. They all seem to hang on bootup like a broken record (sound/graphics) as long as Save State is enabled.
Disable Save State and the game works fine.

Are save states officially supported in that game? If not, autoload of state is not guaranteed to work, so I doubt this would even be considered a bug until save states are officially supported.

That's a good point.

I can confirm that there is an issue with this driver using save states (normal or -autosave). -autosave will only work if the driver has been flagged to have working Save States. Unsure when the save states began failing but with all the modernizations going on in recent months, I am not all that surprised that something like this could regress. I'll make a bug at MT as soon as I can track down a possible break version.
