MESS filter issues with available list. Audit not showing missing/outdated roms.

Currently the Available list is being screwed up by the 'MESS' custom filter. Some romsets are not being displayed that clearly don't belong in the filter, Eg: the Neo-Geo MVS BIOS does not show up with the MESS filter ticked.
This lead me to an even more annoying issue: Auditing. I now have romsets that should be up-to-date (Eg: Capcom ZN1) that MAME will not show and auditing no longer tells me if I have missing/old roms, at all. Only singular, generic NOT FOUND messages under Audit all, and absolutely nothing under Audit existing... what happened to the details? Why won't it acknowledge sets as existing at all, let alone tell me if they're out of date like it used to?
This is driving me crazy, can someone help please?

It seems the reason the Capcom ZN1 games and BIOS will not show in the list at all is somehow related to the undumped upd78081.655 rom. I was only able to discover this by removing the qsound device and loading a ZN1 game from 'All Games' even though it shows as unavailable and audits as "NOT FOUND". This was the only way to get MAMEUI to display missing info.
So again, what is wrong with the auditing feature that it no longer lists missing/old roms?

That's just it, I get why you wouldn't bother showing undumped roms, In fact I appreciate that change, but the issue here is that whenever I try to audit my available list, it is not showing me any information about missing, or outdated dumped roms at all.
I tested this by deliberately deleting a file out of a few working romsets and ran an available audit. The report listed nothing, no missing files at all and if I try to do an individual audit by right clicking through 'all games' it just displays a generic 'Romset NOT FOUND'.
Also, something in the gamelist related to the undumped file in the ZN1 bios (or is it an undumped device?) is preventing all games on this machine from appearing in the list entirely. My sets are fine and will load through 'all games' but they will not show up as available.

0.170 and Audit still outputs no information at all about missing, dumped roms.
Neo-Geo BIOS is still missing from the device list with MESS filter ticked.
