hiscore.dat?
#358157 - 08/31/16 08:01 PM

I have recently converted to MAMEUI64 as my front end, as the author of MAMEUIFX has called it quits, and I don't want to get left behind.

Anyway, in MAMEUIFX, one could get hiscore-dat working to save the high scores if one were so inclined. I can't figure out how to do it in MAMEUI64. When I google, people just say "meh, save the game state on exit". But, IMHO that's sloppy. I much prefer what hiscore.dat did for us.

What's the trick to get this working in the latest MAMEUI64?

HiScore.dat is not supported in MAMEUI.

I find it difficult to believe that MAMEUI won't let you enable the hiscore.dat lua script, even it if needs to be done manually...

I figured it out...my plugins file was somehow set to read only. Once I took off the read only it started working.
