My PSP can't use my wifi. Not supported. Sucks.

Doesn't like the Netgear wifi. Gray out.

May have to use the phone wifi instead of the Netgear wifi.

I think the best authentication + encryption that the PSP supports is "WPA-PSK (AES)"
It also only supports wireless "b". Not "g" or "n".

I saw it support T-Mobile. One of the option on PSP. It might work since my phone have a T-Mobile sim card inside. I will try that out later. Anyway it a Moto phone.

I threw away the old Linksys wireless "b" while back. It going bad.

Same problem my friend is having with his PSP. He has a modern WiFi router, but the PSP doesn't see it.

You can make it work, but you need to go into the router settings and make sure that backwards compatibility for wireless "b" is enabled. Some newer routers disable it for performance reasons. Then you need to change the authentication + encryption to WPA-PSK and AES (or maybe TKIP). I think you'll then need to re-connect all your existing devices since the authentication method changed. It's a huge pain in the ass. I'm not sure it's worth it for a PSP.

If your new router has dual 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks (most new routers do), then you can make these changes to just the 2.4GHz side and leave the 5GHz alone. You'll need to make sure each side has a different SSID though.

It might also be possible to set up a second older router with a different SSID just for the PSP but I'm not sure about the specifics.

Here are the settings and info. Default settings. I didn't change a thing. Let me know what to change to test out.

Try enabling the 2.4Ghz guest network and set the authentication to WPA like in the attached screenshot.

Thanks that works. Better than what my phone did.

You seem to have the same router as I do. It's a great router, isn't it?
