Do I need a multisync monitor for MAME and which one is the fittest?

Im totally confused about the monitor stuff...

First I planed to go with an old TV. The CRT-Tube got a big fascination to me. Just remember how cool the 2 small crt´s have been in in Michel Knight´s Knightrider and how lame todays car appear with its LCD-Displays.

The crt with its curveature and round cornder are just badass and got a strong charakter.

Then I later all that MAME-Scart, VGA, RGB and what ever stuff was way to complicated to me and I wanted to go with an LCD-Display combined with post processing.

I wanted to go that route until someone told me that the big advantage of the tube is that games can be displayed in there native resolution and with unlimarc´s VGA card or crt emu I thought the problems are solved.

The newest things I have been told are yes, the tube can different resolutions, BUT not all.

Damned, I will go crazy with that stuff.
Do I need a multisync-monitor for my cabinet,here are what I want:

1 I want by all means a rotating monitor (otherwise only horizontal or vertical games would have there native resolution, I want them all once I start with that).
That further means that I need something like a degauss-function.

2 I am only interested in commercial grade games, like MAME and Daphne. No consoles, except of maybe some Atari 2600 games and Legend of Zelda and Adventure of Link as I had them as a child but that got no priority. Only if I can run it without upgrades on my cabinet.

3 The games I am looking for are from the 70´s over the 80´(of course) like Exerion and Super Wonderboy up to some less of the 90´ like Streetfighter (the newest version if possible) and some Lightgun-shooters like Jurassic Park and Aera 51.

Will I go trough all three kinds of resolutions, low, mid and high res?

If so what monitor would I need or could I take (please keep in mind that I need a degaussing).

And please give me recommendations for the parts to combine.
For example should I go with Ulticarcs Arcade VGA-Card? I dont mind a higher price if it makes things easier.

If I could go with a usual TV than I could go with MAME-Scart as I live in Europe.

Please give me some advises
