So I got a Daytona board with the shitty "turbo" roms ( will compare to current turbo roms soon to verify if any different) and I want to convert it back to regular daytona.
I burned new 27c1024 roms for IC12 and IC13 and I checked IC6 and IC7 but they are the same as the MAME roms. Turned it on and the board won't boot.
Then I thought maybe the roms were byte swapped but the original turbo roms are not.
There are no jumper differences with turbo compared to a regular board either.
So what gives? Anyone have an idea? Do I have to somehow clear the backup ram or something? Are there actually more roms to swap? There are no other program roms on these boards.
