WONDER BOY MONSTER LAND layout for M.A.M.E (Westone 1987)

Hey coin-op lovers. I did another layout.

There is no stuff for this game, no side arts, no bezel, nothing. More, we have to use a bootleg version for english language.

I made this layout from scratch using only the marquee I had. I reworked some artworks found on computers and consoles versions and other stuff from the Monsterworld universe concerning this particular episode.
The layout remains empty so I builded my own instruction card using the Sega master system's manual, colorizing every items one by one and writing a very short version of the explanation for each one of them. Yep ! Like I said... from scratch !

Now you have the instructions you never seen before for this game because it didn't exist.
Finally, we have a nice layout with everything you need to know in order to play it wisely.

I'm very proud of it and it worth the time I spend on this work. I love this game so much.

ABOUT THE ENGLISH BOOTLEGS

The first english bootleg is cheated (monsters are too easy, the second boss never fires, a shame)
The second english bootleg is graphically glitched. Too bad !
The third one has little text problems but is relatively clean except for the shitty title screen.

So, I recommand to use « wbmlbge » version (english bootleg 3)
I know this game perfectly and finished it a very lot of times with only one credit on the japanese version of the real cabinet, that's why I explained this.

Let's talk about usual things.

- Full UHD horizontal TV support (3840x2160)
- Based on my knowledge of Wonder boy/Monster world.
- On screen official marquee, everything else is not official.
- Full game zone's proportions respect (4:3)
- Original controllers required to play

- M.A.M.E layout version 2 (tested on 0.218 version)
- Can be easily converted to newer layout version if needed
- Zip file size is 4.8 Megs.
- Every visual elements are joined in one bezel .png file.

^{Installation instructions for newbies :}
- Ensure you're using mame layout version 2. Verify it by editing another « default.lay » from the zip file of one of your working layout to be sure.
- Replace (or add) the « wbml.zip » file in your « /Mame/artwork/ » folder.
- Start M.A.M.E then launch the game
- Press the « Tab » key and go to « video » section
- Chose « NOIR Homeplaying FullHD » configuration and ensure « bezel » is enabled for old Mame versions. (chose the "WR" version for displaying the world record)
- Exit the M.A.M.E configuration menu
- Enjoy !

^{Notes :}
This Layout is designed for homeplaying on very large screens but should fit perfectly on modern TV, HD and UHD (4K).
You can chose between 2 Layouts, one with the world record and one without it.
I tested the layouts on M.A.M.E 0.218.

Mod it and convert it as you like ! I hope you'll enjoy it.
