My comment of being 40 was meant as: I'm this age, and I'm still physically capable. I'm not the only one, but I'm not in the majority, either.
There are other elements in this, but I'll just say that the security of a person determines their interpretation of, and responses to, things.
I'm pretty damn confident. Or, inferrentially (a Churchill quote a friend of mine sent me the other day because it reminded her of me) :
The world looks with some awe upon a man who appears unconcernedly indifferent to home, money, comfort, rank, or even power and fame. The world feels not without a certain apprehension, that here is someone outside its jurisdiction; someone before whom its allurements may be spread in vain; someone strangely enfranchised, untamed, untrammelled by convention, moving independent of the ordinary currents of human action
I may poke fun at you, but I'm not saying or even inferring you're a piece of shit. I'm inferring the culture you were made from did you a disservice. Or nature did, because you can't help but be defined by culture.
Consider it high comedy....sincere tragedy....whatever...don't take it personally.
