I'm not talking about serious relationships, I'm talking about getting out of the security bubble. Yes, alcohol can kill you, but depression can also kill you. Metroduck's post seemed I post from I depressed guy... maybe I should tell him to seek a psychologist instead of alcohol, but alcohol, a night club and some girls have the potential to be way funnier to a shy guy.
Also, you don't need to get into the bottle, just some beers may be enough... and a girl don't need to be desperate to want someone that drinks a bit to loose its shyness.
