Well, not "internet" but "damn people everything". After falling for a simple scam yesterday (thanks Google Docs), today looks no better. I've spent more than 2 hours trying to configure Serviio to show .MP4 videos in my bluray player. Something which it did previously and for some reason doesn't do anymore. I checked and the player sees and plays .MP4 videos without problem from USB. After fiddling with profiles, DLNA examiners and whatnot, I surrendered and went to post for help at Serviio's forums. And I can't register there, and hence can't post, because my IP is considered "risky" since there seem to be too many spamming zombie bots in my ISP. Not that I'm a spammer, just that some people who use my ISP is infected with software which makes them spam.
Wait, doesn't that happen everywhere? People with poorly configured firewalls, outdated/unexistent antivirus, etc. So why is my ISP worse than others? And how does relate sending mail spam to registering in a forum?
So I'm still unable to see .MP4 videos in my player and the option to get support and help is to change ISP. ISP which could be blacklisted tomorrow, for all we know. Seriously, WTF?
