FYI the vector format MAME supports internally is SVG. It doesn't support embedded images though(eg. backdrops for Konami handhelds)

We recently added support for G&W Mario Bros, but the SVG lcd segments are very low quality. If someone has a better source photo/scan, that would be awesome.
