Thanks for the effort, but I honestly do not understand what you are trying to say here. I only have 1 screen/monitor, and aren't these options for selecting multiple screens/monitors ?
Also, as I see things now, mame might mean more with *all* 'artwork' than I initially thought: although I do not want the bezels/cpanels/marquees/etc, I do want the 'effect' option to have artificial scanlines via a 'scanlines0x4_j4.png' file that lives in my artwork folder.
