It does add up, I arrived in the UK end of April 1997, and this was before the end of the academic year, so before end of June. So v0.22 must have been the first version of MAME I've ever seen. Having had a Snes in the early 90s, and I probably had my Cyrix 150MHz back then, I was probably more into Nesticle, Genecyst and Zsnes myself at the time, so not sure what my first MAME ROMset would have been. It must have been around v0.36 as I don't recall ever having gambling games in my set. With MAMEWorld forum being migrated at some point, I've got no idea when I originally joined.
