As I understand it, Arcade only has Romsets that were only ever in Arcades.
MAME, had the same thing, but now include Legit Systems, like the Mortal Kombat TV Game System you hook up, or now other Systems (like they are including MESS to reduce the different Programs).
HBMAME, is just for the Hacks, Mods that were never in Arcades.
