When I was working my way through community college, I worked for a while at a nuclear plant as a "temp". I was basically a go-for and they would pair the temps with qualified nuclear techs so that we could fetch tools for them from the tool room or the parts warehouse as they worked.
A classic gag was to send the new guy on a wild goose chase after some "left=hand threaded bolt-holes". The guys in the parts warehouses were in on the gag so they'd just send them to another warehouse or some obscure area of the plant that they would get lost in.
