Only if she can find a ship fast enough to straighten the route through the Maw and cut over 6 parsecs off the 18 parsec distance that standard ships have to travel so that they don't get sucked into the cluster of black holes that are located in that region of space.
Or she could hire Han.

I always preferred "not as competent as he claims" to the fan-invented explanation. The thing's a pile of junk, after all.

Agreed, but the problem is that the fan-invented explanation has become canon. Well, book canon, at least. Mostly thanks to Kevin Anderson and A.C. Crispin (RIP).
