Valve complete pack (Steam DRM)
#333978 - 10/30/14 12:18 AM

http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/us/en/pc/games/action/valve-complete-pack/#description

$20 with code: SPOOKY-TREATS-GMG20X

Totally worth it if you don't have these games already... but I already have both Portals and 3 of the HL2 games. Still worth the pack to get the rest?

I'm not even sure how this site works. It's not Steam, but uses Steam DRM...

GMG sells Steam keys, you enter the key in the client and you get the games added to your account. Same as bundle sellers.

And you'll probably get extra copies of the games you already own. That works when you buy the set at the store, dunno if it'll work with a key.

If it's legit, it requires steam. It does say it does. You'll get a steam key, just as happens when you redeem a game for steam on GOG or HB.

The bundle costs $99.99 on steam, as they indicate. Many of the games are free or filler, but if you want the ones you don't have, it's probably a good deal.

If the games have separate keys, you can give them to friends (if you can get them without auto-redeeming them).

The HL2:Episodes are an incomplete game, and an incomplete story that will likely never be finished without having to buy them again, probably with most of the other less-expensive things in this bundle for $60 or whatever the going rate is when they finally get around to it.

How/where do you enter the code?

EDIT:

Hmm... cut/pasting the code into the "voucher" field doesn't work. But it accepts it if you type it. However, it doesn't appear to be applying the discount.

EDIT2:

It seems that when you move to the next page in the checkout process, it recalculates and shows the right total.

I just finished purchasing it with the discount code for $20. You get a single Steam key for the entire bundle. Once you get the key, you just log into Steam, add it to your account, and boom, all the games show up.

Yeah... Valve. I'm still waiting on this: http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2007/05/valve-cancels-the-black-box-forces-consumers-to-waste-money/

It's kind of insane these days with all the bundles. You can easily end up with more games than you could possibly ever play. I've pretty much given up buying them, even though they're insanely cheap. I've got at least half a dozen games on my machine that I've never even launched, and at least a couple that I don't even remember where they came from.

I know where most of mine came from. While I haven't got half a dozen installed and unplayed, I've got 20 stored on GOG unplayed and 35 unplayed in my Steam library that include stuff from Humble Bundle, Indie Royale, and some summer sale, likely last year's.
I've installed Bastion, but any time I have when my brain is functioning properly is being spent wrangling numbers to put Minecraft doors together. One left... now what should this iron door look like...?

Except for Ricochet. This is the only way they can possibly sell that game.

Out of curiosity I checked and it says the price is 89.99 euro. So if the coupon is worth 9.99 euro, that leaves it at 80 euro. Not really a bargain in my book.

I wasn't going to get it anyway. I don't play games anymore.
