Dulleron posted a YouTube video of this game which I had never seen before. Very unusual to see a backdrop on a game with a color screen. Anyway, I managed to find a screenshot photo and cleaned it up enough to use as a backdrop. Not high resolution but better than nothing.

I have a REALLY good picture of that... somewhere...

--- 1) I'm working on re-organizing everything I have here. I have different stuff on 5-6 different hard drives. I probably have stuff I've forgotten I have.

--- 2) I'm going to work out a way to host artwork FTP myself... I will let you know.

--- 3) I am grabbing everything you've posted here, and will work on getting the site updated in the middle of all this.

RELAX and just have fun. Remember, it's all about the games.

Attached... this pic is from 2002.

Haven't added it yet, because:

1) Perspective
2) #1, then getting the screen to line up, just right.

Amazing stuff - this is kind of "next level" stuff for me, but it's very exciting to see it in action.

Sweet! Too bad it is at such an oblique angle. At least I understand now why the ship goes from the blue (upper) to red (lower) level when you get near that "toilet" thing.

I corrected the perspective and fabricated some missing parts at the bottom. I was able to get the "train tracks" to line up fairly well with the lines in the model.

this doesn't look like a picture... it looks more like a sculpture type of thing... looks realistic.

Have you ever seen the Orbitor 1 Pinball By Stern? It doesn't have a flat picture ether.

Yes, the video elements were layered over the background model via a semi-transparent mirror. It was a fairly common technique in older black & white games (Asteroids Deluxe, Boot Hill, Guided Missile), but they used fairly simple cardboard cutouts or vacuformed plastic backgrounds. This one must have been considerably more expensive to produce, which (combined with poor sales) might explain why so few were made.
