killer instinct clones

yesterday i downloaded the mame 188 version to play killer instinct but there was only 1 game called killer instinct no upgrade packs clone or 1.4 same KI2
was there any change? how do i play upgrade packs?

All the games are combined so that you just need to make a BIOS change (TAB -> BIOS Selection) then use the arrow to choose version you want to use then select "Reset". It will restart MAME running the chosen version. The defaults are the former parent versions for both kinst and kinst2.

when i check for KI or KI2 they show as unavailable. i have 0.192, are they incompatible with that version?

both say quite a few files are missing, including the CHDs. and i tried running them anyway to no avail are there recent and reliable versions of the roms available individually?

figured it out, had to combine my old roms with the new ones from an update pack, was previously replacing them
