Or watch it on Disney instead.

Retrogaming and the plight of those characters through the years. And with John C. Reilly...

...and a collective fangasm was felt throughout MAMEworld... ;-)

Well it's like a new Shrek movie in that it's made for kids but to also be enjoyable by the adults that have to accompany them. I'd go see it if I was accompanying my little sister, otherwise it would be embarrassing to see a kids movie by myself or with other adults and I'd just wait for Netflix. Just me?

Yeah, my wife and I have argued about that before. I'm usually too embarrassed to go see kids movies without kids in tow, she has no such qualms. I'd almost make an exception for this one, though.

Nah. I go see kids movies alone all the time. I just put on my winnie the pooh pijammas with matching slippers, and they just think I'm a little special, and leave me alone.

as part of the site at http://www.disney.com/Ralph there is a mini flash version of the ficticious "Fix-it Felix Jr." arcade game Ralph supposedly originates from.
Its sort of like a cross between Wrecking crew, Crazy Climber, and lots of Rampage influence, etc, and the intro jingle sounds heavily inspired by NES Castlevania.
However the flash version of the game (hit the red X above the trailer to get to it) has some serious flaws: controls are nowhere near responsive enough, Felix's animation is jilted (he should have a walk for between windows!), the voice clips and monitor effects prevalent in the trailer are missing, and grabbing a pie 'one up' powerup (which are too plentiful, probably to make up for the lousy controls) makes you unable to move for too long and grants no temporary invincibility, making you easy prey for a brick or duck while you can't move.

The imagineers at Disney could have put a *little* more work into it, though I guess it is a *BETA VERSION* as it says on the title.
Its also missing many arcade nuances like an insert coin sound, etc.

However, I'll be seeing the movie anyway. They got Q*bert's voice SPOT ON in the trailer, they very clearly used a real SC-01 (or a recording of a Q*bert machine) to make it.
They also did a very, VERY good job with the arcade screen shadow-mask/scanline/blur/etc effects in the trailer, my only slight quip is not quite enough pincushioning.
