Happens to me every time  . I couldn't pass up the i7 920 when I saw it for $199. Matter of weeks before the socket itself went out of style so I've been locked in. Same deal way back when I upgraded to an Athlon 4.
Anyway, this build bumps me up to SATA III, USB 3, M.2, PCIe 3, SSE5, and a full GHz in clock speed. I think that's enough reason to upgrade.
That, and something's fishy with my current motherboard. It keeps dropping one of my HDDs but I can't seem to spot a bad CAP or anything... changed around a few times and the HDD that drops has changed now.
Just broke my personal record for number of consecutive days without dying!
