Disclaimer: I don't keep up with stuff like I used to, so please forgive my ignorance.
172 had an option in the GUI to enable HLSL. This option is gone as of 173. I worked around that by enabling it in the ini, but how do you enable these fabled new filters (hqx2, etc.)? I looked through the ini files, and looked at the MAME 173 documentation, but its kinda lacking to the dumb individual such as myself.
