My dad was tall because his uncles were tall. Simple. Now wildly different features and all comes from a mut genetic background, and the luck of the draw.

I disagree with this.
1. twins often (most always? - I forget) exhibit tendencies toward the same things and ends in life.
2. more fundamentally: certain psychological characteristics (while they may not be recognized, or those observing may not want to recognize them) show up very early, like how much of certain things someone can take/handle in life - which is why most people suffere PTSD after combat...or well, just at all if they're rejected by others. The inability of humans at large to be(come) emotionally autonomous severely argues this point.
