I was thinking of grabbing one of those to pair with my 6900XT video card... but I've been disappointed in the past (Athlon 2 era, I guess?) with AMD performance vs Intel. Now with the Yuzu emulator... I'm once again disappointed that I got the 6900XT instead of a 3080 or 3080ti or 3090...
And on the other hand, I kind of want to see how this new memory link-up method between a 5xxx cpu and 6xxx gpu works out.
EDIT: Still curious about the performance comparison, but just remembered why I didn't do this sooner. I'm tired of all of my hardware being obsolete (AND not-upgradable) as soon as I buy it, and the next AMD CPU will be on AM5 socket, and the current doesn't support ddr5. This is why I still sport a 4790k... because there is no meaningful upgrade without having to buy a new MB. I need to wait until AM5 stuff is on the streets, before I build a new system.
Just broke my personal record for number of consecutive days without dying!
