If only it was that simple to convert everyone to the free/open source programs "without the BS". VirtualDub and Media Player Classic have been my main video editing/viewing programs for years.
Imagine how much faster YouTube would be without every second video having pointless 30 second text intro/outros done in shitty old Windows Movie Maker, then compressed to death by the WMV 'quality' so everything is blurred or pixelated beyond watchable. Speaking of YouTube, it's time for everyone to gather up their old digital video/phone equipment that can't handle what they're designed for, and nuke them in a microwave (or via a MOT), while recording it in lag-free HD. Death to 240p/8fps! It's got to be embarrassing that a 1980s camcorder can do better quality on analog tape than most 2000s camcorder-on-a-chip devices (e.g. digital 'still' cameras, phones and Apple devices under the 'i' label).
