MameTesters Challenge II (An Exidy Adventure)

In the spirit of Aaron's 2008 Challenge, I will personally donate to the Rom Dumping Project:
$50 for the repair of bug 3460
$50 for updating the starfire driver to make use of the sound samples previously posted.
A BIG Thank-You! goes out to hap for rewriting the driver. Appreciation to Robbbert for the initial look and MASH for letting us know it's been done. Curiously still absent from the "Whatsnew" document.
$100 for discrete sound emulation for Star Fire. If discrete emulation comes before sound sample support, then $150 will be donated instead.
The original source code and the sound samples have been posted here. panel.asm and sound.asm should be of help. Schematics are easily available. As always, I will assist in any way I can.
Challenge end date TBD.

For those considering the discrete code, here is the parts list to start with.
I've left gaps in the resistors and caps list that are not in the audio schematics. I'll hunt those down shortly on the board.
Update: January 25, 2010
The last ic chip in the list is an audio amp LM379S 847 REQUIRES HEAT SINK. LOCATION: 8C
Confirmed: Resistors and caps not on the list are not part of the audio system.

Star Fire Colors Fix by Qwi Jibo? Almost 1 year to the day?!
http://www.mametesters.org/view.php?id=3460
That would be excellent news! Once confirmed I will keep my promise.
Qwi Jibo, thank you for your work. I greatly appreciate you taking the time to look at one of the oldest drivers
