Whatsnew:
* 1.44 26/10/2011: Added romset infos (bytes/# files/packed bytes) for 0.143u8 sets.
* 1.45 27/10/2011: Added a first version of the files "version.ini"; to put in "folders" of the MESS.
* 1.46 28/10/2011: Aligned files to 0.143u9 version. Updated the SVN until October 28, 2011 (r13113).

The source is has been broken since u7. The picker doesn't work correctly.

If I choose a game using the picker. It stays stuck on that game for me until I delete the ini file for that system. Maybe my source is now bad or something. Where can I download the latest?

I had seen it once, then when I went back to investigate, it was working.
So this time I cleaned out all setup files for Jaguar and started afresh. The problem is confirmed. As soon as you click on a software it should be written to the ini, but that isn't happening. I will need to investigate again.

It's rather frustrating because I started looking at it, and it was working. Then later on, it just stopped again. If you are using NEWUI you can unload the software, and usually things start working again.

I guess that is better than my solution of closing MESSUI, editing the ini files, then relaunching..

I've discovered the problem is most definitely connected to the length of the filename + path. When the arbitrary limit is reached (over 55 chars in my case), a number of symptoms occur
- The already selected software isn't highlighted, it instead shows twice in the list
- You can't select another software
- In the device view menu, the filename is either blank or corrupted.
The problem is confined to MESSUI; the NEWUI works fine (didn't test oldui).
I'm still looking for any such limitation, it is not obvious yet.
