I just bought a silent scope arcade cabinet and would like to see about getting a computer for it that has all the silent scope games, maybe some other shooting based games also. I am new to this, is this something I can do. Thanks

No, you have to get the separate board sets.

They come up on ebay every once in a while or you could check pcb shops or Yahoo Japan. I didn't see any in a quick search. They aren't available all the time. There was someone here giving a set away a few weeks ago.

Too custom, the guns don't even work the way generics do. Keep it Silent Scopes. They are the best ones anyway.
Well, those and the Point Blanks. And the early P&P. And...

Yeah that what I was thinking keeping it all silent scopes. I would like to have them all on the same system that way I can choose which game to play. Is that possible or will I have to get different cards and swap them out each play?

I'm not an expert on those boards or their protection. It might be possible to swap through them with roms and timekeepers but I'm not sure. I doubt you can swap anything other than region and I doubt you could find them for sale in bits like that. Everything I've ever seen was complete systems.

Rog thanks. I got plenty of space in the cabinet, im wondering if i can splice the harnesses and create some kind of physical switch that can switch through them. Do you know where i can get schematics for this system?

This ~can~ be done, but you are going to need a great deal of hardware to make the switching happen without destroying the boards. These board I/Os are very sensitive as it is, I wouldn't just splice and twist inputs.

I was thinking about it maybe not splicing but creating an input box that would have multiple output to each computer and a mechanical switch that would go between the boxes. The only thing that i would worry about is the power output from the wall. Its a 10 amp i dont know if that would be enough to support multiple computers. I have to study the schematics
