This reminds me of when I was an arcade operator/technician in the 90's. In early 1994 we received two MK2 conversion kits and we converted the two Mortal Kombat cabinets we had over to MK2, the hottest video game of that time. I think it was just a few weeks after we installed the MK2 kits we received two revised ROM sets from Midway. Midway claimed the revision was necessary due to a coded cheat they found that allowed the player to get free credits or something somehow. I remember they would not tell us what the trick was or what was involved. I wish I remembered what revision they were referring to, but this 2.0 set might have been the ones we were sent to replace the previous sets factory installed in the kit pcb's. Anyone know of or what the cheat trick was?
