UnMAMEd update
#321230 - 02/01/14 09:06 AM

http://unmamed.mameworld.info/

I've updated based on the feedback, and based on some other random things I discovered along the way. This includes an actual picture from a game I've always wanted to see, BMX Heat! Well, it's the title screen but still cool.

Great work as usual and not easy having to catch up to the latest progress, but a few updates to mention within month of January 2014:

Carket Ball and Happy 6-in-1 now working, but I guess not considered official until .153 is released.

--
Happy 6-in-1 (IGS, 2004)
http://unmamed.mameworld.info/non_igs.html#Happy6in1

src/mame/drivers/pgm.c
GAME( 2004, happy6, pgm, pgm_arm_type3, happy6, pgm_arm_type3_state, happy6, ROT0, "IGS", "Happy 6-in-1 (ver. 102CN)", GAME_IMPERFECT_SOUND | GAME_SUPPORTS_SAVE )

Carket Ball (SemiCom, 96)
http://unmamed.mameworld.info/non_semicom.html#CarketBall
From GregF:
Needs the real protection data extracting for this game, runs attract mode with data from others but can't coin it up.

GAME( 1996, carket, 0, htchctch, carket, tumbleb_state, carket, ROT0, "SemiCom", "Carket Ball", GAME_SUPPORTS_SAVE )

January 8th, 2014

I also worked with ANY on getting the correct data for Carket Ball, another game previously featured here (this time by Semicom) Again we had to pick up a different PCB for this because the original PCB was dead, in this case we picked up a Cookie and Bibi PCB and transfered the MCU across. The game now works without crashing and without the sound glitching as soon as you insert a coin.

Aaargh! is now another long time entry that can be removed once .153 is released.

A promising update to Quiz Show mentioned by Smitdogg's DU January News Roundup

Thanks to recent donations we got the tapes for Kee/Atari's Quiz Show.
Andy Welburn is going to dump them for us later this year (we got the original version and Rev.A) and he also has some board sets of it so he is going to dump the missing chip so the driver can be completed.

pong and casm mentioned about a January 2014 ebay listing that shows a photo of Atari's cab version of Crossfire - Crossfire (Atari) The cab was relisted again with other hard-to-find games including a cab of PSE's Knights in Armor. Unfortunately no cab photos of PSE's Knights in Armor from that listing.

Shark Jaws
Outlaw
Dead Eye
Crossfire
Knights In Armor
Avenger

Not perfect by any means, but pretty much intact.

Shark Jaws
Outlaw
Knights in Armor

All looked complete.

The Computer Boards looked shinny and amazingly in good condition to my eye.

I have worked on Boardwalk games for 40 years, and usually these are dull and rusty... BUT NOT HERE !!

And I also had a last minute update from the earlier thread in January with Stiletto showing a link to a video of Allied Leisure's Street Burners gameplay.

Sega "Megumi Rescue" has no listing on the Sega page.
Sega / Gremlin "Fortress" has no flyer picture / link
It is at www.flyers.arcade-museum.com/?page=flyer&db=videodb&id=1704&image=1 and 2 for the back.
Also, many working IGS PGM games are still listed.

Megumi Rescue is coming up for me:
http://unmamed.mameworld.info/non_sega.html#MegumiRescue

I didn't add anything about Fortress because the flyer doesn't really say anything about the game, and doesn't have any pictures. I guess I can mention that a flyer exists though. I'll go over IGS games and compare to see what got overlooked.

Thanks, yep I was just waiting until the changes were in effect before making the update. I hadn't gone to the trouble of capturing images of Street Burners because the YouTube video is uh... not so clear - I can barely make out the cars when I watch it. Maybe it just doesn't translate to video very well, either that or the settings on the game were too bright.

I agree. The issue could be either the camera angle or monitor settings or monitor having issues prevent the image being really visible.

If Allied Leisure's Street Burners is added to the non-cpu page, you can indicate proms have already been dumped. Street Burners is a dual board game and for now only single board non-cpu video games have been emulated. Much more work needed in order to support multiple board non-cpu video games.

Great finds there. Good to see what the games look like after seeing some of those name entries on unMAMEd for all these years.

Not sure if Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 Wave Net is worth a mention or not. It's mentioned on Wikipedia under "Release" and, IIRC, it was also mentioned in the MK9 strategy guide.

Yep, that's a good way to get a MAMEdev to work on things, pester him about working on MAME in a completely unrelated thread.

Thank you for the info! It's especially nice to see more information about Dark Chamber. I've always felt that to be the most "mysterious" entry with just the murky screenshot.

Note that this spread also contains info about a game by Capcom called "The Dream Quiz of Seven Colours" and a game by Atlus titled "Princess Club: Big Operation".

Those two are just English names of Japanese games: Dream Quiz = "Quiz Naniro Dreams", and the other = "Prikura Daisakusen"; (spelled wrong for fast post). I thought that "Ultimate Domain" was "Fighting Vipers", but it looks too different.

The Dream Quiz of Seven Colours <-> Quiz Nanairo Dreams: Nijiirochou No Kiseki
Princess Club: Big Operation <-> Princess Clara Daisakusen

I definitively played this thing or a clone of it when a teenager. I was under the impression that that was preserved. Does exist any clone of it which i could be confussing it with?

It looks like "Passing Shot" to me. Maybe this is just a region specific name. There is a 4 Player Passing Shot game with a Japan region in MAME already as passshtj and there is also a 2 player version.
