It used to go to title screen at least. There is a bug report detailing this I put up yesterday when everyone got in a tizzy over this "never working" game in MAME.

maybe i'm stupid and i don't understand but..if this version shown in the video is the same as the one we've been in mame for years..then what's exactly the problem here?did the game has bad dump or its something completely related to emulate the system in itself?well at least i've seen how's the game in action..one of two things i wanted to see before i die

It's believed to be an emulation issue rather than a bad HDD dump that's preventing the game from working. Though PSX-based, the game's hardware configuration is unique and the addition of an IDE controller alone is enough to complicate matters. The emulation did improve marginally not too long ago though

I wish there is Primal Rage 3 from the Arcade as well.

I played a decent amount of the original at Arcades during the mid 90's
People got frustrated really quick after taking a couple losses from what I remember.
I think the awkwardness of hitting the right combo buttons then having to hold down combinations of buttons to execute special moves discouraged most of the crowd and they went off to play other machines.

I haven't had any complaint playing the first one on the Sega Genesis many years ago when I was younger. I like the monkey doing the green farts. LOL
Time sure did flies.
