Gauro Mark Of The Wolves (best 2D fighter on the Neo-Geo)

King Of Fighters '99 (2nd best KOF but with the best soundtrack)

Pulstar (The game that brought the Neo-Geo to my attention in the mid 90's, so a nostalgic choice)

Metal Slug 3 (You have to have one of this series in there, so it may as well be the biggest and best)

Funnily enough, this is a quandary I'm actually facing. I'm in the process of getting my local club's 4-slot MVS cab working again (fingers crossed). The games it currently has are:

Last Resort
Thrash rally
Art of Fighting
Waku Waku 7

Probably be keeping Thrash Rally and Last Resort. I need to choose games that are most likely to get played by the average punter, though.

Oh, If those are the games you actually own. Then those are all that can be played

lol, Yeh as long as you got variety of genres like, a Puzzle game,Fighting game,Racing game,Platformer game. You can't really go wrong with a neo geo cab.

I'd keep Last resort, Rally and Waku waku 7. If you only got 4 carts tho, obviously put all 4 games in.

Good luck with you're decisions

Waku Waku 7 is my favorite Neo Geo game. It's definitely one of my favorite fighters. So IMHO, that's also a keeper.

Hard decision but I think IŽll go with

1-Metal Slug 2

2-Fatal Fury Special

3-Super Sidekicks 2

4-Puzzle Bobble

I might have World Heroes 2 or Soccer Brawl as a replacement

What, no love for a certain bowling game where every second shot is guaranteed to be a split?

This game is Tekken Bowl ten years before Tekken Bowl!

Can you imaging that Namco have a six slots on their machines for six games? Even Atari.

P.S It's real blasphemy to choose only 4 games from Neo-Geo library !
It needs at least 5 times 4 slots !!!

Sure is rare .... very little from Google about it, and what there is seems to be mostly on the Dreamcast version. Have you played this version ? Any idea how it compares to the NeoGeo ?

I like your choices Gat, but I might substitute Turf Masters or Drift Out for the last game - not sure, need to play it some more.

Right, so predating the NeoGeo system itself by two years. Can I have some of whatever you're smoking?

If it came out in 1988 it's got nothing to do with the Sega game, it's just some 2D racer with the Daytona speedway license. (Much like Daytona 2 is generally considered to be just some 3D racer with the Daytona speedway license).

I already have Metal Slug 2 and Puzzle Bobble. Definitely Top Hunter (lovely game, I'm surprised nobody has mentioned it) but I'm not sure about the 4th, maybe KoF '98 to make everybody happy. Brazilians love fighting games.

Or Maybe that Turrican-style platformer from NG Dev Team.

I played Top Hunter back in the day (on a four-slot machine, one of the other games was World Heroes, can't remember the other two). I just never found it enjoyable, and the graphical style's kind of all over the place. It seemed more a way of showing off the machine's capabilities in terms of on-screen sprites/colours and massive directly addressable graphics ROM than a game that was fun to play.

I don't know about Brazil, but KoF '98 would make no-one happy here. It's one of the least popular KoF games now. People tend to like '97 or 2000.

To be honest I haven't given it a go in years. But I remember it as a fun game. I only played it in the wild once. I like the skateboard bonus and when it has two paths and you get to jump "into the screen" and back out..and the extendable arm.. yes it's gimmicky as hell I guess.

In a way that makes it the perfect Neo Geo game. No heart, tons of awesome graphics lol the fanboys will be all over me now...

I have no idea, I don't even like fighting games. I just think the title tune is hilarious. "KAY OHH EFF IS HERE AGAIN HURRR DURRR"
