Thayer's Quest had a membrane keyboard with 40 keys (if you count those as buttons). Otherwise there are lots of Mahjong games with 27 buttons.

Psikyo's Taisen Hot Gimmick series has two mahjong panels (as well as two monitors, one for each player) giving twice the number of keys as a single-player mahjong game.

things like "30test" had at least 30 game buttons too, as the whole point of the game was to press the buttons in the order in which the numbers were displayed as quickly as possible.

There's a comment on the Dark Horse bootleg of Jockey Club II saying that has 72....

All a Mahjong panel is is a bunch of buttons. What exactly are you interested in? Why exactly do you need to know this information? So far in several posts you've given us fuckall background information and then gotten all tetchy when people answer you to the best of their abilities. Why don't you start giving people enough information to go on, so people know how to properly answer your exacting and demanding questions?

Check out games like:

They have a lot of buttons.

If you're a referring with the word "buttons" to shoot, jump, etc. I can only say that MAME supports no more than 16 "buttons". Probably 8 of them (two rows of 4 on a standard cabinet control panel) per player is the maximum that can be done. I don't know which is the arcade game in MAME which has the highest number of buttons, sorry.

I don't need to bore you with many reasons because I need.

I feel deeply sorry if I didn't get all the info about a game of almost 40 years ago.
Maybe u need the manufacter?
Maybe u need to know which sound?
In the first post I given all that I remember, and a screenshot I made.
I repeated for many post always the same. It was enough info if someone knew the game.
Other things are come back in my memory with the answers of the other people in the forum.

Well, at least I learned something new here... I never knew those kind of typing arcade games existed, ex: Typing of the Dead, etc. I've definitely never seen any of those games in any arcades I've ever visited. I would think that some punk kids would mess up the keyboards, picking off some of the keys, ruining the playability of the game.

Typing of the Dead was at California Extreme this year. Fun game, but I agree that it seems out of place in an arcade.

Ooh, I didn't see that. I did play Lupin III: The Typing though, which was a challenge in memorizing and typing random sequences of letters for a non-Japanese speaker like me I couldn't progress further than the mannequin stage as it began displaying kana prompts.

Indeed, I do wonder how rugged the keyboards on these machines are. Can't imagine them lasting more than a week in a western arcade without some spaz prying off half of the keys and throwing them at his mates.

As for a game with lots of buttons, how about The First Funky Fighter. Nine buttons per player!

Out of curiosity, when it starts requiring kana, does it want you to input it using Romaji method or Kana keyboard?

You had to guess a mystery word written in kana that was revealed symbol by symbol and enter it using Romaji method before a timer ran out.

TOTD used two stock Dreamcast keyboards (of course), which are fairly cheap on eBay still They're essentially a PC-104 keyboard that speaks Maple bus instead of XT or AT or PS/2.

a little off-topic, but i purchased typing game for PS2 about 10 years ago - Beatmania Da! Da! Da!

it came with Konami USB keyboard which is fully compatible with PC.

i use this keyboard on my PC thru these years and it's still working fine.

Yeah, the PS2 Linux Kit came with a nice black PlayStation-branded PC-104 USB keyboard and mouse, which of course work fine on PC/Mac/Linux too.
