This will works using crlmamepro? I donīt think so.
Mame4All is the only one it have the .dat inside from the .apk file.

Does it allow for Button Remapping or work with Game Pads like MOGA or the GPD XD?
Also love how you have to Install a Download App in order to get it. Will wait till it is on MegaUpload or another Site that is more better for DLing from

Yep, you can re-map the buttons and use an external controller, you can also turn off the on-screen buttons/D-pad when using one. No, you do not need a download app to get it, follow Robbbert's guide. To see the newly added games from FB Alpha 0.2.97.39, switch your view from "Supported" to "All Roms".

Guys, I'd be real careful about grabbing random binaries from unknown Chinese sources like this. Good odds of Android malware infection in this thing-- and the newer malware is literally impossible to clean off a device without taking it in to have the flash re-written.

It uses the FB Alpha 0.2.97.39 roms, so I guess that the 0.179 mame roms should be fine.

Smoker1, you don't use any downloading apps to download it, you just do it through your browser normally, as shown by Robbbert.
1. enter the password
2. Click on the 2nd entry (with the folder symbol and fba4更新1612)
3. Point at the .apk file at the bottom, you see the download symbol appear, click on it.
See inside the red circle on the attached image, that's the icon you click to download it.

if it's including the bios then it shouldn't be linked to from here anyway, I very much doubt it's something the FBA devs approve of because it sounds like whoever packaged this has no interest in doing things properly.

It's speed is very good, can run PGM games perfectly on an
average android phone hardware thanks for a fba core.
But it's contain some adware in it sure.
Though there are no virus.
So if you don't mind adware, you can try it.

An APK is more or less just a renamed ZIP, with a specifically-laid-out tree of assets as well as libraries and binaries. As such, it's in fact especially easy to transparently replace the existing libraries in an APK with ones that are malicious.

i've downloaded this & i'm using a samsung note 4 so a good spec & i played wonderboy on it & the sound is terrible & keeps skipping plus other sound issues. It really needs a good overhaul this app as there is quite a few issues with it besides the sound issues it keeps re-starting & quitting. It would be good if these major problems are fixed, as Mame4droid is way behind using roms from 0.139 as the windows Mame is now on 0.180. The person who has made this app should talk with the person who made Mame4droid as that is nearly perfect. I do wish Mame4droid could be compiled to use the new roms 0.180. A program needs to be made so that people could compile Mame4droid each time theres a update of roms etc. THANKS

Interesting read. Though I don't think it's malware, and I'm pretty sure my details haven't been sent to Li Keqiang or whoever, you've got to ask why they don't put it on the Play Store?. They do have a fan site, forum and bother to maintain and improve fba4droid, but they don't seem (at least I can't find it) to offer the source for the project which is in violation of the FB Alpha license. Plus including the NeoGeo & PGM bios' in the apk is dodgy. I won't be posting any more updates on fba4droid on Mameworld unless they clean up their act.

Is there a list of games that this version of FBA supports?
I have a GPD XD and I'm using Retroarch with MAME 0.174 core. And it is working fine, but some games are slow. So I would like to try them in FBA but I need to know if the games I have are supported or not.

I don't know if there's a list specifically for fba4droid but there's a compatibility list for FB Alpha 0.2.97.39 here: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/libretro/fbalpha/master/gamelist.txt , which is what fba4droid is based on except fba4droid is arcade only. The sound is a bit off in some games e.g. R-Type and there are some graphic problems in Raiden II & DX. To see the newly added games from FB Alpha 0.2.97.39, switch your view from "Supported" to "All Roms". It'd probably be better though just to install your roms and see if the games you want to play work.
