ISO stereo jamma board for testing
#247660 - 03/01/11 08:41 AM

What is a good, cheap stereo board (has RCA-type inputs on it) I can get to test my jamma set-up?

Are you looking for a game board that outputs stereo audio?

I'm also assuming you want the audio to be already amp'ed so get yourself a Neo-Geo motherboard (check www.hardmvs.com for stereo boards) and make a wiring harness to take the audio into rca connectors.

I have an amplifier all hooked up in the cab, original wiring harness, etc. I just need a board to connect the RCA plugs from the amp to the board.

Every PCB I've seen with stereo out uses a 4-pin Molex. If you have one of the old CD audio cables that went between your CD-ROM drive and soundcard that can usually be hacked up to work. Female RCA jacks on PCBs wasn't a thing until JVS.

CPS2 boards have direct RCA out. In service mode you can set them to mono out through the Jamma adapter or to stereo out of the RCA out. The price for most of them has dropped into the cheap range.

My set-up. Notice the RCA plugs on the audio amp, lower left.
