Cheers.

On a side note with your friends computer, use Avast 6 with Malwarebytes. You'll find Spybot has missed loads of malware, spybot is rather dated these days.

They made arcade version of Wii. I didn't know that.

They made an arcade version of PS3 and Sega were thinking of an Arcade 360, it was only bound to happen XP

Wouldn't that be based on the first X-Box? Also I think Manic Panic Ghosts is Naomi unless there are some bad translations happening.

Yes, Chihiro is basically first X-Box with a GD-Rom drive.

One of these days I'll read something properly before posting.

Today is not that day.

Tommorrow's not looking good either.

Plus lots more RAM, Outrun on the Chihiro had access to 512mb IIRC, compared to the 64mb of the home console.

I remember an article in EDGE magazine about Sumo Digital, the software house that converted it to the home console, and they said that lack of RAM was the biggest challenge in getting it up and running on the Xbox..

Are these actually refering to the RAM chips on the Xbox board? I thought it used a stock retail board with the obvious BIOS change

The chihiro used the GD-Rom addon, but as with most/all games that used GD-Rom it just used to load the program into RAM and run it from there.

The problems in converting it just came from access times as the arcade version has everything in RAM already and just loads new things instantly, whereas the xbox version had to effectivly stream the game from the GD-Rom and load on demand depending on what course you took.

WOW! I took that pic of Blasteroids about 10 years ago. I guess we'll see the pics I just sent you in another 10 years ;-D

I know about the GD-Rom drive and that, and I fail to see how that answered my question. People keep saying about 1GB Chihiros, I'm assuming they mean Dimm Size, but then if so, was the DVD media of the Xbox the problem or the actual RAM on the Xbox board.

In a sentence:
1GB Chirios, 1GB Dimm or 1GB Xbox RAM?

Me either... it makes sense though. T vs C was made for the wii but became extremely popular in Japan. The cheapest and quickest way to get it out in the arcades would be to modify a wii and use it.

NVM, I'm guessing everyone is talking about the Dimm RAM :|
