I asked a similar question on a different message board but no one seemed to answer, but I had the same question. How do you use a Commodore 64 cartridge with a physical button, example would be Game Killer or Capture 2 (assuming it like the first one) cartridges? I read though the docs and couldn't find an answer.

actually, you've been replied on the other board... but it took a few days

and the answer is: you cannot. no device or dipswitch can be added on a per-cart base (yet), and therefore no switch on the cart can be simulated yet. it's the same problem that forces MESS to have separate drivers for console carts with a CPU on the cart itself (see e.g. snessfx, gensvp etc.)

it's something we are slowly getting closer to, but we are not there yet.

Because the changelog undersells this release a bit, let me just note that it's now possible to install and run Windows 3.0 and 3.1 (and software that ran on that OS like early versions of Office) in Standard Mode on the "atvga" PC driver.

I most likely just missed the other response, thanks for responding again.

I'm gonna have to test that out... just for the flying toasters

RELAX and just have fun. Remember, it's all about the games.
