Yeah finally an update! Check it out at: http://unmamed.mameworld.info/

Hooray and thanks too. I see you have the non-cpu video game updates accounted for with DICE.

I have a list that could be removed or at least be updated. You will want to verify yourself to be certain before removing them.

Soccer New & Mongolfier New.
Thanks to Peter Ferrie that found the NVRAM offset checked by both games, we got rid of the protection and after some dedicated work got the games working.
--

Mongolfier New and Soccer New were just recently emulated, but since .152 was already released. Neither will be playable until .153 is released or folks could do their own compiling build if not wanting to wait for a month or two. Just keep these two entries in mind if doing an unMAMEd update later this year.

Although a cassette version of Angler Dangler has been emulated and can be removed, my guess is there was never a pcb/dedicated version of Angler Dangler because if there was a pcb version, a bootleg version might have already been emulated in MAME a long time ago. And same consideration might be as well regarding Manhattan. Had either DECO cassette version been a pcb version that was also released, MAME might have already had a bootleg version supported. That's why my guess is there never was a pcb version of Angler Dangler and Manhattan. The entries could be left in, but I doubt a pcb version of either game ever existed.

btw: If the Tap-a-Tune cab photo can be left alone or at least still available online, thanks. The rest of Tap-a-Tune can be removed, but the cab photo is still useful reference material imo.

Donkey King
http://unmamed.mameworld.info/non_other80.html#DonkeyKing
Donkey King (Bootleg, 81)

http://www.progettoemma.net/gioco.php?game=dking

0.147u4: Guru and Tingoes added clone Donkey King. Added encryption call, would be a push. Loading the actual dumped roms [David Haywood].

- 4th December 2012: Guru - Last year I was sent a Kong Jr. board that turned out to be Donkey King Jr. After some years(?) hunting we now have the earlier game, Donkey King. The hardware is not your usual crappy bootleg with tons of patch wires on a Galaxian or Pacman or Scramble host board. The game runs on very clean, nice dedicated hardware. It's the same game as Donkey Kong of course but this is a great find! Thanks to Tingoes for never giving up the search for this game.

--

This one gets murky, but it was a Falcon pcb as described, but the game is called
Donkey King Jr. Hard to say if there ever was a Crazy (Kong) Jr. that was made.

--
Crazy (Kong) Jr.
http://unmamed.mameworld.info/non_other80.html#CrazyJr
Crazy (Kong) Jr. (Falcon, 82)
This was Falcon's bootleg of Donkey Kong Jr. Pictures of the marquee all say "Crazy Junior" as opposed to Crazy Kong Jr. Possibly unemulated because of no ROM dump, the hardware is probably similar to Crazy Kong.

http://www.progettoemma.net/gioco.php?game=dkingjr

- 0.143u2: Guru and Tingoes added clone Donkey King Jr. (bootleg of Donkey Kong Jr.).

- 30th June 2011: Guru - After wiring up the Kong Jr. board to JAMMA and testing it I discovered it's an alternative bootleg called Donkey King Jr. It's not in MAME so it'll be added soon.

- 12th June 2011: Guru - I received a Falcon Kong Junior PCB thanks to Tingoes.

In the old thread that links to earlier threads, there is a very knowledgeable person of the Crazy Kong hardware, CrazyKongFan. He might be the best person to ask if Crazy (Kong) Jr. ever existed.

The recent events that Guru and Tingoes provide is Crazy (Kong) Jr. probably never existed.

For Olympia's Vega, http://unmamed.mameworld.info/non_other80.html#Vega there are two issues.

And there is an extra entry (as shown below) on the 1980s page that can also be removed.

It would be nice if you add a section dedicated for games that isn't in (or in, but GNW) MAME but emulated by Supermodel (the Model 3 emu).

Also, remove Victory Lap from Namco page and update Tokyo Wars (invicible tanks) from Namco section.

Kizuna Encounter Special Version can be removed, as it's now emulated by MAME. It's not a separate software version, just a standard Kizuna Encounter cart with an input multiplexer PCB that allows the MVS to be connected to four sets of controls. The game displays the "Special Version" title screen if it detects the presence of the multiplexer board.

No fun of having to guess how the score is accumulated when playing the game.

This is in mame: 18w

It is very incomplete and needs scans of all the multiple artwork layers and the backdrop/road reel.

Thanks all, looks like there's still a lot to update

Luca - though listed as "working", I did notice these games have some time of RAM error and didn't boot up. Is there something I'm missing to get them playing properly?
Pye-nage Taikai, Taihou de Doboon, Hae Hae Ka Ka Ka

ShouTime - I can make note of those - to avoid any spread of inaccurate information I generally keep these "never existed" entries online with an explanation - if you have any more information I can include it.

LN - I imagine much like pinball entries and the EM games in MAME you'd need more than a bunch of artwork to make the game actually "playable". To be clear, I don't plan on keeping a big EM list, these are just "not working" drivers that also happen to be EM games. It would be cool if somehow in the future MAME could be used with a simulator to in effect "play" these games, such as with Visual Pinball + PinMAME.

Two more entries to add to http://unmamed.mameworld.info/no_em.html EM hardware page.

Ice Cold Beer and Zeke's Peak

/src/mame/drivers/icecold.c

GAME(1983, icecold , 0 , icecold, icecold, driver_device, 0, ROT0, "Taito", "Ice Cold Beer", GAME_NOT_WORKING | GAME_NO_SOUND | GAME_MECHANICAL)
GAME(1983, zekepeak, icecold, icecold, icecold, driver_device, 0, ROT0, "Taito", "Zeke's Peak" , GAME_NOT_WORKING | GAME_NO_SOUND | GAME_MECHANICAL)

These are pcb (cpu controlled) EM hardware games.

Here are videoclips of Ice Cold Beer in operation to show what else would be needed (components ie: artwork scans etc.) for these to be almost fully emulated/preserved in MAME.

There are some that don't involve real time physics simulation (pinball ball movements) that could be fully emulated, but it would require high quality artwork scans of images. As I have said in the past, wall games like Gremlin Trapshoot (thankfully netlist support to the rescue) could be emulated, but it requires someone willing to make a very quality scan of the entire front panel. Far few opportunities to be able to do that. Hopefully there could be some contributions later. I lost an auction bid several years ago of a wall game unit that I wanted to get.

* Interstellar Laser Fantasy
* M.A.C.H. 3
* Road Blaster

- correct name for Dragon's Lair II is Dragon's Lair II: Time Warp

- Looking at http://nonmame.retrogames.com/
if adding non-MAME emulators is the sort of thing you like, then you may want to add Demul, Valkyrie, Dolphin, HBMAME, Supermodel etc.
But ideally, MAME would like to replace all of them...

It happens until the NVRAM is initialized once to default values:

- Go to service mode keeping service (F2) pressed during boot.
- There, use F2 to select items, and button 1 (CTRL) to enter them.
- Find among the screens the menu entry that says "RAM CLEAR" or similar.
- Select the entry (with F2) and press CTRL until an OK pops up next to the entry.
(Keep CTRL pressed for long / several times as it does not register very well)

Now you can exit service mode and the error should have gone away.

If I could edit that page, I would. I do not have access to anything beyond the mamedev.org wiki, nor have I requested it.

Looks like a request is in order then? For as much effort as you put into your post you could revamp every page.

Did you get / read the E-mail I sent you? Much of what it said is now listed here, but some is not.

OK, here it is.

Working in MAME: many IGS PGM games, Semicom "Magic Ball Fighting", Namco "New Bosconian" under "Bosconian - new", Sega "Columns III", Merit "The Couples", "Night Raid", "Sukusuku Inufuku" under "Quiz and Variety", "Super Real Mahjong VS" - listed as not working but does, Jaleco "Speed King / Champ" - under Hayaoshi Quiz" series, Taito "Ball Park II" under "Extra Innings / Ball Park II", Amatic unknown under "Super Stars".

Games not working in MAME: "Video Stars" = "Crazy Kong Galaxian HW encrypted set 2", "Virtual Combat", two maybe's: "Cobra Command set 2" = Thunderstorm?, and "Sea Battle" = Olympia "Armada"?

Flyers: Sega "Fortress" under Gremlin "Fortress", Nichibutsu "Liberty 7" and more under "Medal game - exciting hits series". "Jongbou Sono 2" in mamedev.emulab.it/undumped

Games to add: Namco "Battalion", and Andamiro "Sports Match".

"Bonpa" is clone of "Circus" not Clowns.

"Nice On" is Japan license of "Rip Cord".

"Pro Billiard" is Japan license "Tri Pool".

"Il Pagliaccio" and "Olympic Hot Stuff" are 199X, not 198x.

Under "Wallcrash" / "Wink", it says any missing Midcoin game is MW, only one is "AD 2084".

Midway / Taito "Basketball" are same game.

"Skeet Shoot / Shot" are listed multiple times.

EM games on list: Inder "Metal Man", "Country Club Classic" etc, "Mann oh Mann, Popeye - JPM, Frank n Stein, Thunderbirds - JPM.

"Galum Pa" at bottom of list, should be 199x around 1995.

"Gun Baron" = Japan "Wild Pilot".

Move to Naomi section: "Crackin DJ part 2", "Shakka to Tambourine", and "Mars TV".

Under "Crazy Cross 2" only known GX regions missing are: "Soccer Superstars" - USA, "Run and Gun 2" - Europe, and 2 not confirmed: "Racing Force" - Japan, "Golfing Greats 2" - USA.

Ah, I see. Your name in the e-mail doesn't reference Diet Go Go at all so I didn't make any connection. Yep, I have all this stuff queued up to go through.

If adding any more entries to the non-cpu page,

http://www.mameworld.info/ubbthreads/sho...part=1&vc=1

Stiletto found a videoclip of Allied Leisure's Street Burners.

And MrF4brice has made some quality videoclips over the years. These might be useful links for now while almost all the non-cpu entries are still online and not yet emulated other than Atari Pong.
