Classic Mame Debugger - How to alter lots of memory quickly?

Must be a simple way to do this but I'm not sure how.
I'm using the classic Mess\Mame debugger and want to paste in a large number of dumped bytes back in to memory (around 300 or so).
Unfortunately I can only seem to alter one byte at a time with the DOS debugger.
Surely there must be a way to paste lots of sequential bytes in more simply than this.
Any ideas?
Much appreciated !

Not directly, but you can use the LOAD command (I think the old debugger had it) to bring in a file with the bytes you want.

I will try it with your method and will surely post the results.
