This is one of the original CES game products worth playing imo. I would have tried it out myself had I seen one of the tables at some business location. I don't recall seeing any of the CES Galaxy Games units at places I went to back during 1990s.

Huge thanks to Keith for allowing this to happen. I hope the cartridge for StarPak 1 can be found eventually.

Awright. Thanks again to Keith's contribution for allowing a prototype version of StarPak 4 to be supported.

I don't know what good getting a pak 4 real rom set would do, even if it did result in a different rom format from what we got from the programmer, the general reaction from people even who own programmers to surface mount rom work is similar to a woman finding a mouse on her kitchen floor. If you think it would result in games getting revived from death you're living in an alternate reality.

Gotta trot out this April 2017 thread to serve as a reminder or an event that happened before newcomers arrived here and have not seen the old threads before.

http://www.lucaelia.com/mame.php/2017/The-Last-StarPak-A-Tale-Of-Rare-Cartridges

We got the files for StarPak4 from one of the original game developers. They're files for the proto production cart which used eproms instead of flash roms. So it might be labeled as a proto but it's the same game.
-

At the time, in 2017, Keith had made it possible to run StarPak 4 as a prototype at the time.

Eventually on Apr 3, 2024 an actual cartridge was found and eventually supported which then Keith’s contribution from 2017, was recategorized and listed as a prototype alternate rom set as expected.

New working clones

Starpak 1 is the remaining cartridge needing to be found and supported.
