CLRMAMEpro and x68k_flop software list issue
#367341 - 06/29/17 12:28 AM

I've had this issue for years and have ended up just dragging/dropping the x68k_flop.xml file into the CLRMAMEpro profiler and auditing it separately, but I was wondering if there was a solution where I could use CLRMAMEpro's built in software list support to scan my x68000 floppies.

The Apple IIgs software list gets imported fine when the box is checked during the profiler's update and in the scanner's system assignment the Apple IIgs will show up with [SOFT] description. However, the x68k_flop list just never shows up.

Anyone have any thoughts as to why?

I don't bother with the built-in support. Haven't even looked at or understand how it even works.

I like adding all the XMLs and batch auditing everything in one shot while I'm AFK. It's far more efficient for me.

Just use add dat file in profiler and select all XMLs that you're interested in then run batch processing.

I have a few guides out there and even one on these forums that's basically the same with the latest version of CMP

That's because MAME's -listxml output lists several software lists which you then cannot import via its -listsoftware option.
So MAME should change this behaviour ;-)

If they don't change that behavior then you might have to remove that part of the MAME loading support then. Just let it load MAME alone. I don't mind dropping the xml into clrmamepro window. They might tell you it the clrmamepro issue.

I been dropping the xml files in the clrmamepro window more than loading those with the MAME. So I don't know that the issue does that here.
