Naomi 31Hz monitor

Hi all,
Im in the process of converting a Naomi candy cab into a mame machine. These are VGA capable monitors and will take a 640 by 480 @60 vga signal...however the chassis will get fried if you drive it with anything else for any length of time, say the bios boot or any other screen res change for whatever reason.
Is there any way that a Jpac can be used to interface to the JVS input in a naomi..? I dont believe so hence the JVSPAC (but no video filtering). OR is there a way to just use the iPAC to filter the VGA signal and stop anything other than a suitable 31Hz image from getting through..?
Thanks

I actually don't believe that any bios screen goes higher than 640x480. At least I don't know anyone that goes higher.

Anything since at least a PIII is VGA, yeah.

BIOS text mode on a (S)VGA card is always 31 kHz 640x480, yeah. Newer machines with graphical EFI boots might be problematic though.

I was just several minutes ago thinking about that - that there was apparently some difference because there's movement and color blooming in the Win logo. I don't know what the scan rate of that is. I don't think any VGA monitor is going to be hurt by other scan rates, I think the OP is just being paranoid.
Whether they're still perusing this sub-fo and all......

Windows 7's boot logo is 1024x768, as is the BCD and anything related to it AFAIK
