this kind of linking (Cadash, Virtua Racing, etc.) will be implemented in MAME when the exe is capable to run two sessions in parallel and to make them communicate one with the other

given that the source is available (for ClientServerMAME & MESS) and it does not offer any copyrighted material with the exe, why should it be illegal?
