This is a FYI post regarding the use of cheat compilations and MAME 0.144u7. In short, unadjusted, they will not work at all. It's a simple fix, but there was no determination as to which way to go before u7 was released.
If cheats are that important, you'll need to stick with 0.144u6 where they will work. If you wait a week and can hold out, then change nothing and 0.145 will more than likely fix the issue surrounding cheat usage. This will likely require a new cheat package from Pugsy or other sources.
Apologies in advance. Know though, this is NOT explicitly a MAME bug, so it's not needed to report this to MAMETesters.
