And here's why. You're not initially running at native res, but something much higher. Going even higher ain't gonna change it. Not even if you're using HLSL, etc. Now, what will change is if your monitor size increases. Everything will get bigger, including the scanline effects, meaning the square-ness of the pixels will be more apparent, regardless. BUT, you can change the effects settings to accommodate, so.......
