In my experience once you get it to install it's fine. The installation can be a bit harrowing though: make sure you have all updates installed for your current OS before attempting the upgrade, or it'll hang on "Checking for Updates". Also, you'll want to have at least 8 GB free on the C: drive. And if you're scared of all those "Windows 10 shows Microsoft your junk!" clickbait articles, make sure to go through the privacy settings and don't just accept the defaults (you can change them later in the Control Panel too).
