Maybe I should have asked to be paid for my work instead then, since it's all the rage these days.
Or perhaps I actually just cared more about money being spent on things that mattered, and contributed what I could instead because I'd rather die broke but knowing I'd done what I could for preservation than demand people give me money before I do anything.
