Kudos to Andy Welburn for uploading videos of some of the pcbs including some Atari non-cpu pcbs that are still working.

Original Atari PONG (1972) arcade machine gameplay video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fiShX2pTz9A

Published on Dec 11, 2014
This is the audio/video output from a *real* Syzygy (Atari) 1972 PONG arcade game circuit board.
--

This is currently the best reference video for Atari Pong pcb if trying to emulate Pong.

Atari REBOUND (1974) video arcade game gameplay

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mpCAtx1a5oU

Published on Dec 12, 2014
This audio/video output was recorded from an actual 1973 Atari Rebound video arcade game PCB. First marketed as a kit for PONG (called Volleyball) it eventally found its way into a dedicated machine called Rebound.

Atari Quadrapong (1974) gameplay video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bP3idyROGes

This is the audio/video output from an original Atari Quadrapong arcade game PCB. The original cabinet has the players looking down onto a screen that faces up, it is a square playing field, and it was mounted at 45 degree angle, actually making the screen diamond shaped! This game was also marketed by Atari's second company Kee Games and was called Elimination! There is no difference between the two pcbs, they are identical.
--

I was wondering about that if there were any differences of the pcbs of Quadrapong and Elimination.

Atari Pong Doubles (1973) Gameplay Video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09qHnr1DMwA

Published on Dec 17, 2014
This is the audio/video output from the real 1973 Atari video arcade game Pong Doubles. It is possible to play just the normal 2-player game of Pong by only inserting one coin and pressing start, but if you add two coins you'll get 4 players for two teams of two playing head to head!
--

I believe some of the competitors did minor modifications to their pcbs when marketing 2 to 4 player pong clones because the score display numbers appeared somewhat differently iirc.

Super Pong video arcade game by Atari (1974) gameplay

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xmQ5VJdyLdE

Published on Dec 21, 2014
This is the audio/video output from the real arcade hardware for the game Super Pong in the early 70's. The PCB itself is a regular Pong with a number of wire hacks to change the gameplay as you see. Fun and definitely harder to play!
--

I don't recall ever seeing and obviously never playing Atari Super Pong before, so this is actually first time ever seeing how Super Pong plays.

Atari Anti-Aircraft (1975) gameplay

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQ18iqEf7ZQ

Published on Oct 20, 2015
This is the output from a real video arcade game PCB for Atari's 1975 game Anti-Aircraft. Some cool analogue sound effects to spice it up a bit. A 2-player only game, you have about 90 seconds to shoot down more jets than your opponent. There is actually a way to turn the jets into UFO's, i may show this on another video.
--

I had forgot how the audio sounds when shooting at the planes/UFO's It isn't the same without discrete analog sounds not being emulated, but understandable since that part is a very specialized area to do that type of work.

Atari Trak 10 (1974) gameplay video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=drQSjojxW_Q

Published on Dec 22, 2015
Thisi s the real audio/video output from the video arcade game PCB for Atari Trak 10 from 1974. This is the very first driving videogame!
I was playing this on my test rig, so please excuse the poor gameplay skill. The stripes in the racetrak are an artifact of the capture process and are not there in real life.
--

Good to see this video clip. iirc someone had mentioned that Atari Gran Trak 10 has some custom rom that requires getting an adapter or maybe having to create one in order to dump roms from Gran Trak 10 or Tank etc.

Before Atari LeMans and Kee Games Sprint 2 were released as a single board games, the Atari/Kee Games racing games used a combo of a digital board and an analog board something along line of the Kee Games Tank pcb photos.

Atari Splash video arcade gameplay (1979)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CRcHUSTHszc

Published on Jun 16, 2015
This is a video made from the output of a real arcade game PCB. Its an Atari-Europe made game called Splash, which is a clone of Exidy Crash (I own the whole machine). Its unclear if this was a license or a cheeky bootleg, it does use genuine Exidy proms. The video is sparkly and wobbly because the video signal is not friendly to a lot of displays. The main reason for doing this video was to document the analogue sounds.
--

This has to be a cpu controlled game. It is interesting how it varies from Gremlin's Head On such as using a musical opening before gameplay begins. Just to get audio part emulated if possible might require tracing the components that produce audio output. That was what was done with Spiders audio sounds many years ago by Don and Hans A. doing the audio emulation work.

Anyway, my thanks to Andy for making these video clips available for users can see how the actual pcb runs the game. Hopefully the emulation sice will eventually catch up one of these days or months or years. :-) *kidding*

ps: If embedded video clips need to be pulled from this post and linking to clip only, I can edit post to have linking to clip only if that needs to be the case.
