This is a question of personal taste. I guess if who's playing will be standing very close to the screen it's probably going to be a bit overwhelming. If you have to turn your head to follow the action when playing either the screen is too big or the person is too close. Maybe consider this when you design your arcade cab and put some distance between monitor and control panel.
