In my current line of work, I am tasked with being better at identifying certain things than the people who create them. I must learn the ins and outs, the protocols, the science behind things...things outside of my technical job description. I briefly become an expert in things I should have no business knowing if you read the title on my business card.
Vague story short, you don't have to hold a law degree to be good at law.
